Ralph Fiennes’ reworking of the Shakespearean classic Coriolanus needed an image that had instant drama and impact. The battle torn face and thousand-yard stare seemed the most compelling and accurate image for this national treasures directorial debut.
Because of the great recognition that Vanessa Redgrave was getting for her performance it was felt that she too should feature on the poster.
